Freak Flag Bags
Being drawn to strong colors, mixed textures, naturally occurring shapes and experimentation, sewing is where I've found myself. I make items that have a function. And I create them from an artistic standpoint. I think my individuality comes through my work pretty clearly - my quirkiness, sense of humor, and rawness. I'm having some serious fun ♡ And I hope others enjoy it as much as I do.

Still Waters Art
I've lived a lot of lives in my good time here on Mother Earth. I'm a painter, musician, jewelry-maker and fabric artist. I spend hours sourcing materials to upcycle, reimagine and recreate into new works of wearable beauty. I'm dedicated to using my art to work with what already exists, in a small attempt to reduce waste and save high-quality materials from the landfill.

Susan Sertain
Studio Vonceil
I have lived in Asheville for over twenty years and love the fabric and texture artist community that thrives here. As former owner of The Costume Shoppe, I've met many local costume and fashion creators as well as designers and costumers traveling through. I create in my studio at The Mill at Riverside in Woodfin and anywhere I can take my needle, thread, paint and found embellishments. I feel incredibly lucky to have so many opportunities to create, be challenged and especially to share the world of fiber art with the talented artists at Sugar Britches.
